It All Comes Down to Confidence – Five Quick Ways to Boost Yours

When it comes to online adult dating and meeting new people, it’s absolutely all about confidence. That Don Draper suaveness that lets you walk into a room and grab someone’s attention. That’s all confidence. Here’s some tricks to boost yours.

Feel Good – Look Good

By which I mean, get in the gym and stop eating meals consisting only of mars bars. If you find yourself feeling guilty and ashamed, you’re probably doing something slightly wrong and should change your approach.

Just to clarify, it’s not actually about becoming Arnie, or losing a ton of weight. It’s about giving yourself agency and control over your body, and the ability to alter the way it looks. Plus actually feeling healthier is always going to leave you mentally sharper and better looking.

Relax

Sounds simple right? Wrong! No-one knows how to relax properly anymore. Our free time is spent multitasking like crazy, or overstimulating ourselves on videogames and pornography! That’s not relaxing, and it’s sure not going to help you build any kind of functional confidence.

Chill out with a book, or a glass of wine and a film. Properly relax, without distraction, and enjoy the benefits of actually winding down properly. Being highly-strung is not attractive. If you’re really struggling, try some meditation, that can be an absolute game-changer.

Take Care of Yourself

Put the time to one side to pluck your eyebrows, or get a haircut, and keep it styled right. Make some drastic positive changes, and maintain them. Keep yourself looking, in your own eyes, good.

It’s not about being objectively attractive, it’s about being attractive in your own eyes, and knowing that you look damn fine. That’s easier said than done, but if you put in a bit of effort, it’s totally achievable.

Take Up Something Challenging

Once you start to get a little bit bored of all the things you’re actually amazing at, they start to cease feeding your ego and confidence. Yeah, I’m great at cooking, so what? I should be better. Once you get washed out and tired like that, it’s time to try something new.

Starting something new can make you start feeling confidence again, but it does it in a weird way. By making you re-evaluate your skills, humbling you and then building you up again, if you stick by it. That can make for a huge change in your outlook and really build confidence.

It’s Not about Fighting

This builds from my last point. As one last quick thing to try out, go for a martial arts beginners class. That can help out in a couple of different ways when it comes to confidence.

On the one hand, you’ve got the refreshing, humbling experience of putting yourself outside your comfort zone and learning a new skill, like previously mentioned. Then you’ve got the fact that you’re actually going to be able to believe in your ability to keep yourself safe. That’s going to leave you feeling much more confident, as a combination.
